OZARK ADVENTURE RTE - 18-23 May, 2011.

Ozark Adventure is a fishing Recreational Therapy Event hosted by Jim and Debbie Blakeslee and the folks at Lost Cover Resort and the Forest L. Wood's Conference Center. We are brining eight wounded US Special Operations Soldiers and their families to the event for an extended weekend of fun, fishing, and fellowship.

Itinerary

Wednesday 18 May 2011:

Pick up at airport and transport to Lost Cove Resort. Evening meals provided at the cabins upon arrival.

Thursday 19 May 2011:

Breakfast at the cabins

AM-Ranger Boats Manufacturing Factory Tour Flippin Arkansas (open to all)

Bull Shoals State Park Gaston’s Visitor Center for interpretive tour and introduction to Bull Shoals Lake and the White River (open to all)

Lunch at Village Wheel Restaurant (Buffet $10.99 includes tax/tip/drink)

PM-Trout Fishing at Newlands Resort on the White River

Evening Meal at Newlands Resort, Fish Fry $10.00/plate

Van Transport back to Lost Cove Resort

Friday 20 May 2011:

Breakfast at the Cabins

Van Transport to the Norfolk National Fish Hatchery for tour

Trout Fish Dry Run Creek at Hatchery

Lunch at USACE Quarry Campground Pavilion $10.00/plate (Friends of the Norfork Hatchery hosts)

PM- Fish Norfork River at Quarry Access Point with local fishing guides

Tour of Norfolk Hydroelectric Facility (wives and soldiers)

Van Transport back to Pontiac Volunteer Fire Department (Spaghetti Dinner $7.00)

Van Transport to Lost Cove Resort

Saturday 21 May 2011:

Breakfast at the Cabins

AM-Guided Bass Fishing on Bull Shoals Lake out of Pontiac Marina/ Spouse’s to Mountain Home for Spa Day (Fraternal Order of the Eagles hosts)

Lunch at Fred’s Stateline Restaurant/Spouses Lunch in Oakland

PM- Rest and Relaxation at Cabins, Prep for Benefit Dinner at VFW ($10.00/plate)

Van Transport to Bull Shoal’s VFW for Benefit Dinner (4:30-8:30 PM)

Van Transport to Lost Cove Resort

Sunday 22 May 2011:

Breakfast at the cabins

Fishing for those who would like, Pontoon Boat Cruising and water fun for the rest.
