MEDIUM

Assist in the mapping and documenting of potential archeolgical sites where missing US Service Members lost in war and conflicts may be located. Task Force Dagger Foundation is teamed with East Carolina University’s Maritime Studies Programs, The National Park Service, and the US Government.

PURPOSE

To Establish a greater purpose to our severely wounded, ill, or injured SOF personnel by assisting in the mapping and documenting of potential archeolgical sites where missing US Service Members lost in war and conflicts may be located – potentialy participating in the recovery and repatriation of our missing US Personnel.

FOCUS

By focusing on important mission and purpose, our SOF personnel will have a project and reason to get out and be contributing member of society.

Two of the Warrior Ethos address the goals of this therapy activity:

I WILL NEVER QUIT  |   I WILL NEVER LEAVE A FALLEN COMRADE

Task Force Dagger Foundation is conducting an expedition in Saipan to map; document; search; and, hopefully; recover and repatriate an American Service Member(s) Killed In Action (KIA) Body Not Recovered (BNR) from World War II. Our team for this mission is the Department of Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA), The National Park Service (NPS), and East Carolina State University (ECU).

The purpose of this mission is two-fold: (1) Keep the promise that we make to our service men and women defending our country and that is to bring them home should they make the ultimate sacrifice. (2) Identify those Special Operations Forces (SOF) service members from the US Special Operations Command who are having issues making the transition from the military to civilian life, and provide them with a real world MISSION. Why is this important? This provides the SOF service member a deeper PURPOSE for his or her life. This will enable them to FOCUS on something bigger than themselves.

When many of our SOF service members retire or leave the service, they have a difficult time adjusting / transitioning to civilian life. Many can’t find a career that provides them with the same passion that they had in the service of their country. This mission is designed to help our SOF service members start to make that transition from active duty to civilian by showing them that they can have a deeper purpose for their life besides the service. This will hopefully create an epiphany within themselves and discover that although it is not the same, they are a valued member of society and that they can have a deeper purpose for their life. Having a real MISSION – PURPOSE – FOCUS post service is crucial.
