Director of Maritime Operations

Jeff Samuel is a retired Navy SEAL with over 20 years of service, assigned to SEAL Delivery Vehicle (SDV) Team 2 and Naval Special Warfare Development Group (NSWDG). Much of Jeff’s time as a SEAL involved dive activities and missions, including supervising and instructing basic SCUBA, Closed Circuit and Mixed gas diving. In 2007, Jeff was assigned to NSWDG. While assigned to NSWDG, Jeff had 12 combat deployments, and he was an integral operator in three national defense operations. In 2012, Jeff was selected to be the Team Leader on a successful US hostage rescue mission in Afghanistan. Because of his actions during these deployments Jeff was awarded the NAVY CROSS, four Bronze Stars with Valor, two Purple Hearts, a Joint Commendation with Valor, and five Navy Achievement medals.   After completion of his last deployment, he built an undersea component for NSWDG. With this position, he directed all aspects of NSWDG combat diving, including training design and implementation, development in navigation and propulsion equipment, and development of precision combat diver tactics.
