Helping the entire family heal with Rehabilitative Adaptive Events

Task Force Dagger sponsors Rehabilitative Adaptive Events (RAE) that foster a sense of well-being, offer encouragement, and assist with the service member’s rehabilitation and recovery from wounds or injuries sustained while serving our country.

We believe when a SOF service member is injured, the whole family is injured and must heal together. Family participation in activities such as scuba diving, white water rafting, biking, or kayaking, fosters family bonding and teamwork necessary for overcoming service-related injuries and helps the family heal together.

Our events, such as Dagger Dive, include those who are wounded, ill, or injured and their families, as well as Gold Star families and other families who have lost loved ones in the service of their country.

Recovery and Repatriation

Too often when SOF service members are injured or wounded and are unable to remain on their team, they say they have lost their sense of purpose. Our mission-based therapy events are designed to restore a sense of purpose by providing a specific task that challenges the individual both physically and mentally.

The Joint Recovery Mission is our most impactful purpose-driven event. Members participating in the Joint Recovery Team assist in the mapping and documenting of potential archaeological sites where missing US service members lost in war and conflicts may be located.

SOF members participate in the recovery and repatriation of missing U.S. Personnel. Keeping the promise to bring home soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice defending our country is a real-world mission that gives SOF members a deeper purpose and focus in life.

Currently, Task Force Dagger Special Operations Foundation is conducting an expedition in Saipan to map, document, search, and hopefully recover and repatriate an American Service Member(s) Killed In Action (KIA) Body Not Recovered (BNR) from World War II. Our team for this mission is the Department of Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA), The National Park Service (NPS), and East Carolina State University (ECU).
