TDSOF is pleased to announce that Alissa “Ali” Solomon has been appointed Director of Strategy and Finance.
Alissa “Ali” Solomon brings more than 27 years of experience in finance, along with a strong background in marketing and organizational strategy, to her role at the nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting U.S. Special Operations Forces and their families.
As Director of Strategy and Finance, she will lead strategic planning and financial operations, working closely with leadership to align long-term vision with execution, drive sustainable growth, and expand the organization’s impact.
Ali’s appointment reflects both her professional expertise and her personal connection to the Special Operations community, having served in financial operations roles supporting the 2nd Battalion 75th Ranger Regiment (Airborne) and the 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne). In these roles, she developed and implemented systems to resolve complex financial discrepancies, ensuring accurate distribution of millions of dollars in military pay while strengthening financial accountability and operational efficiency in high-demand environments.
Ali is also a founding member and former Chief Operating Officer of the Lou Gramm Foundation, where she developed and launched key programs, created a self-sustaining operational model, and drove measurable organizational growth while expanding community engagement. Her experience uniquely positions her at the intersection of mission-driven leadership, financial discipline, and organizational growth. Her career reflects a continued commitment to serving the Special Operations community both in and out of uniform.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Economics, with secondary degrees in Accounting from Empire State University, and has completed graduate-level studies in Marketing at Rochester Institute of Technology.
