Task Force Dagger Special Operations Foundation is seeking a creative and dedicated Volunteer Social Media & Marketing Coordinator to help amplify our mission through engaging digital content and community outreach. This role focuses on managing our online presence, creating compelling content, and developing marketing materials to support programs and campaigns.  Reporting to the Executive Director, this position will also provide assistance to other staff members, including the Director of Development and Director of Services.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media & Marketing:
  • Assist in the development and execution of marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness and engagement.
  • Create and schedule social media posts across Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and X (formerly Twitter), ensuring consistency with the Foundation’s mission and tone.
  • Design marketing collateral using Canva and other tools, including graphics, event promotions, and donor outreach materials.
  • Maintain a consistent brand identity across all platforms, supporting campaign storytelling and digital outreach.
  • Monitor social media interactions and support engagement with the online community.
  • Research digital marketing trends and best practices to optimize engagement and audience growth.
Minimum Requirements:
  • 10-20 hours per week, depending on availability. Tasks are asynchronous and can be accomplished in off hours or during the normal work day.
  • Experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing.
  • Proficiency in Canva, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and basic content scheduling tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messaging.
  • Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) is helpful but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
  • Passion for supporting the Special Operations Forces community.
Work Environment and Conditions:
  • This position is fully remote but offers an opportunity to travel for key events (not mandatory).
  • Flexible schedule, with rare evening meetings (e.g., board or planning meetings).
  • Collaborative virtual environment with regular check-ins and team engagement.
